SAO PAULO – Scores of passersby watched Thursday afternoon, as a redhead woman pounded a sedan with a hammer for several minutes on a busy Sao Paulo street. At least three witnesses recorded cellphone video, later uploaded to YouTube, showing the woman venting her rage on the 1990s-era Honda Accord.

The three YouTube videos, showing the wide-eyed redhead pounding the car with a hammer, have been viewed cumulatively over 1.8 million times.
Onlookers gave the redhead – wearing high heels, white blouse and blue jeans – a rousing applause after the show, which lasted about three minutes. The passionate gal whacked the sedan dozens of times on the hood, trunk, windshield and windows before dropping the hammer, grabbing her purse and sashaying off down the street.
The incident occurred around 1 p.m. in the Vila Olympia neighborhood of the city. The woman’s identity, as well as the cause of her rage, remains unknown. One woman in the crowd speculated that the car must have belonged to an unfaithful lover.
