| CURITIBA, Brazil – A photograph of two policemen drinking beer, in uniform, on-duty and in the company of young women is causing a stir. The photograph, which shows the two Military Policemen (PM) with cans of beer in their hands, and one of them with the can raised to his mouth, was posted to social networking sites on the internet.

The photograph, which also shows the PM officers in the company of young women who are also drinking beer, prompted protests from many internet users, who are outraged by the situation.
The Military Police, in a press release, stated that it does not condone the actions shown in the photo and will open an administrative inquiry. The identity of the two PM are not known but they apparently belong to the 17th Battalion, which operates in the Metropolitan Region of Curitiba.
