RIO DE JANEIRO – Brazilian singles, interviewed in a nationwide poll, voted Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro as the best beach in Brazil for flirting.
The dating website “ParPerfeito,” or Dating Place in English, questioned 2,500 men and women of various age groups. Those who responded selected from a list of 12 options, thought to be the best beaches in Brazil for horny singles.
In first place, Copacabana Beach received 13 percent of the votes. In second place, Geribá Beach in Búzios, Rio de Janeiro and Balneário Camboriú in Santa Catarina tied with 12 percent each. Maresias in São Paulo won third place, with 11 percent.
When calculating results for men and women together, Copacabana comes in first place. The men, however, prefer Balneário Camboriú for hooking up with the opposite sex.
With 8 percent each, Joaquina Beach in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina tied with Boa Viagem Beach in Recife and Macaraípe Beach in Porto de Galinhas, both in Pernambuco.
Futuro Beach (Fortaleza, Ceara) and Pipa Beach (Natal, Rio Grande do Norte) each garnered 7 percent. Forte Beach (Mata de São João, Bahia) with 6 percent, Taperepuã (Porto Seguro, Bahia) with 5 percent and San Marcos Beach (San Luis, Maranhão) with 2 percent round out the list.
