RIO DE JANEIRO – A woman sunbathing topless on Ipanema beach, attracted by sunny skies and nearly 100-degree Fahrenheit temperatures, caught photographers attention Wednesday. Throngs of Carioca beachgoers hit the sand as thermometers topped out at 37.3 degrees Celsius, reported Brazilian online media.

The perfect beach weather will not last long, however. The National Institute of Meteorology (INMET) predict that rain showers and strong winds will arrive Wednesday evening. The rain and wind should continue until Thursday.
The beach filled up before noon Wednesday, despite being a weekday. Tourists accounted for many of the swimmers and sunbathers who frolicked in the surf and socialized in the sand.
Argentine Eric Pas, 33, vacationing in Brazil told G1 “the sea is warmer than in Argentina.”
Airline employee Mandy Gridseth, 30, from the Netherlands, enjoys passing through Rio and sunbathing topless in the sand. “I did not expect much heat. I’m loving it,” she said.
