RIO DE JANEIRO – Amateur photographers recorded images of a Brazilian airliner skidding off runway Friday, one from inside the aircraft cabin and one from the ground, reported Brazilian online media Saturday. Azul flight 6903 from Campinas (Sao Paulo) to Cascavel (Parana) left the runway while trying to land during high winds.

Homemaker Maria Rodrigues of Sao Jose de Ribamar, Maranahao, has earned extra income for a few years by showing off the fruit, which grew in the shape of male genital organs.

RIO DE JANEIRO – Rio Harley Days 2012 concluded Sunday with 1,500 bikers from all over the country touring Rio on a 35-kilometer ride, reported online media. The journey, which lasted about an hour, started at the Marina da Gloria and passed by various sites around the city such as Copacabana Beach and the Candelaria Church. Although most of the bikers were locals, the ride attracted people from other parts of the country.

SAO PAULO – Kilt Nightclub, an iconic fixture in downtown Sao Paulo for over four decades, closed last month and fell to the wrecking ball this past weekend. One of the most notorious nightclubs in the city, Kilt – which occupied nearly 6,000 square feet in a building styled after a Scottish castle – featured erotic shows, a samba school, striptease and dance shows. Mostly, though, the club was a place to meet working girls – hundreds of whom worked at the club on any given night.
