SAO PAULO – Civil Police arrested a 64-year-old drug dealer known as ‘Granny Crack,’ Friday morning in central Sao Paulo, reported online media. Police, armed with a search warrant, entered the woman’s apartment and found 100 rocks of crack hidden inside a teddy bear.

Police also arrested Granny Crack’s daughter and son-in-law.

Police went to the building on Araguaia Street in the Pari neighborhood where they searched two apartments. In Granny Crack’s apartment, they found crack cocaine hidden inside the stuffed animal. In the apartment where her daughter, 41 and son-in-law, 38, lived, they found more crack cocaine as well as cash.

In total, police seized 204 rocks of crack – 100 in the retiree’s apartment and 104 in the daughter’s apartment. They also seized R$570 reais (about $265) in cash.

Investigators said that they were familiar with the woman, since they had arrested her in 2010 for selling drugs. She had spent five months in jail before a court released her on bail. She was out on bail at the time of her arrest.
