RIO DE JANEIRO — Fans greeted American country music singer Taylor Swift early Wednesday after she arrived at Galeao Airport in Rio de Janeiro, reported online media. This is the first visit to Brazil for Swift, who stopped to sign autographs for her fans.
Taylor Swift Arrives in Rio de Janeiro
Thursday, she will perform at Citibank Hall, in Barra da Tijuaca, in Rio’s affluent West Zone. Brazilian singer Paula Fernandez will join Taylor onstage to promote her new album “Red.”
Taylor Swift won legions of fans with lyrics inspired by her life. Over the years, the star has dated Joe Jonas, Jake Gyllenhaal, Taylor Lautner and John Mayer, who inspired the song “Dear John,” in 2010.
The pop star arrived in the company of her mother and the pair will stay at the Sofitel Hotel in Copacabana.
