Now one can find historic colonial cities such as Fortaleza, the striking architecture of Brasilia, the coast of Recife, Natal and Salvador or travel to Iguassu Falls.
Travelers can get an early look at the areas surrounding their hotel, shopping malls, historical monuments, parks and nearby restaurants before arriving at their destination. With the service’s 360-degree views, users can become familiar with the place where they will stay before arriving.
“If you are planning to visit one of these locations or if you just want to take a tour from the comfort of your couch, we hope you enjoy these images,” Google said on its blog.
The company said that it increased the locations Street View covers in Brazil due to the major international events coming soon to the country, such as the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics. Tourism officials expect the two events to attract tourists and visitors from around the world to visit cities and landmarks throughout the country.
